Research Projects (4th and 5th grade)

These video tutorials are for 4th and 5th grade students working on their library specialist research projects.

Begin with the first video and then do what is demonstrated in the video before going on to the next video. Work your way through the videos and steps.

1. Taking notes from your first source and avoiding plagiarism.



2. Taking notes from your second and third sources. Watch this video only after you have taken notes from your first source.



3. Finding and saving pictures for your PowerPoint. Watch this video only after you have taken notes from three sources.


4. Reviewing your PowerPoint checklist. Watch this video when you have finished taking notes from three sources AND saved pictures for your PowerPoint.



5. Starting your PowerPoint.  Watch this video when you have taken all of your notes, saved your pictures, and reviewed your PowerPoint checklist.



6. Continuing to build your presentation. Watch this video when you have created your title slide and saved to your student drive.



7. Creating your Works Cited slide. Watch this video only after you have completed your other slides.




8. Typing notes into PowerPoint. 



9. Changing the style and look of your PowerPoint. Please make sure you have completed all of your slides and reviewed your PowerPoint checklist before moving on to this step.
