Safety Study Hall

A New Resource from the WA Department of Health for Schools, Families, and Students

The Washington State Department of Health has launched the Safety Study Hall website—a new and valuable resource for schools, students, and families to learn about key health and safety topics. The site covers important information on preventing substance use, and the safe storage of prescription and over-the-counter medications, firearms, and ammunition, as outlined in House Bill 1230.

Safety Study Hall is part of a broader effort to promote safety in schools and communities across the state. Schools, school districts, and educational service districts (ESD) are required by state law to take specific actions to ensure these resources are accessible to their communities.
