Dear Parents and Student,
Welcome
to First Grade! I hope you are as
excited as I am about starting the new school year. I always look forward to meeting my new
students and starting our community of learning!
This was
a busy summer with my oldest son playing baseball in the California Collegiate
League and my youngest son playing Seattle baseball. We were able to end the summer with a family
vacation to Hawaii. However, I am looking forward to getting back
into our routines and schedules. I hope
you all had a wonderful summer with many stories to share and write about.
It will
be my privilege and honor to work with you this year, so I want to thank you
for this opportunity. My goal is to
provide a positive and happy experience for your child in first grade. You can help me by having your child answer a
few survey questions that will help me get to know him or her right away. Please return the survey at your
convenience.
Back to
School Night will be Tuesday, September 3rd from 4-6. It is a great time for your entire family to
meet and greet our staff members. Please
start the night in our classroom and then enjoy visiting other areas of the
school.
Once
again, I look forward to meeting with you during the Back to School Night to
help ease the transition into the first days of school. Together we will help make this a successful academic
and social year for your son or daughter.
If at any time you have questions or concerns about anything, I hope
that you will feel comfortable in coming to me and together we can find
solutions.
Happy last days of summer!
-Mrs.
