      <title>Fifth Graders Dive into Aztec Ingenuity with Mini Chinampas</title>

Students designed and built mini chinampas, floating gardens that ancient Mesoamericans used to grow food on lakes. Study of Early American Civilizations is a component of 5th grade core knowledge English Language Arts (ELA) curriculum.
