Welcome letter

August 25, 2019

Dear 4th grade student and family,

The start of the school year is just around the corner. You’re about to begin the fourth grade! I hope you’ve had a great summer vacation and had the chance to do something fun. Many of you have been reading all summer, but if you have fallen out of the habit, now is time to get started again. It’s also time to start reviewing those math facts as 4th graders will need to know their multiplication and division facts from 1 through 10 (and further on).

I am looking forward to teaching 4th grade in September. My very first year of teaching, 25+ years ago at Haller, was in the 5th grade. Next, I taught a 4th/5th blended classroom as part Haller’s multi-age program for 10 years. After that I was a 3-4-5 writing specialist; then worked for a year as a math/writing specialist. From 2007 to 2019 I was part of Haller’s 5th grade team. With the new school year, I am back to 4th  grade once again

Students and families are invited to Helen Haller’s Back to School Night on Tuesday, September 3rd from 4:00-6:00 P.M. Back to School Night will be a great time for your entire family to meet and greet our staff members. Please start Back to School Night in your child’s assigned classroom(s). Stop by to say hello, see the classroom, drop off school supplies, and choose a desk.

Welcome back to Helen Haller and have a great 4th grade year!

Sincerely,

Eric Danielson
